Access to the church takes place through a majestic staircase, surrounded by six chapels with figures of clay, representing several steps of the life of Christ.
The church has a vestibule that gives him access by a portico in ogiva; has a single nave and a picture of Pascoal Parente representing the religious act in which St. Anthony took the habit.
In 1851 a fearful fire destroyed the magnificent convent there built by the friars of Piedade in 1539.
There he lived, in a small cell, in the place where the little chapel, the tramaturgo Santo António.
The church of Santo António dos Olivais can be visited in the parish with the same name of the city of Coimbra, in Portugal.
