It has this name because until 1940 there were several ovens of roasting of shells, snails and shellfish for the manufacture of mineral lime. It began to receive tourists and vacationers from 1942. It has 800 m of extension, being one of the preferred places for surfing. In front of Cal Beach is the Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes Square, which has an image of the Santa. Known as Iemanjá in religions of African origin, the saint is honored every February 2.
