It is a place of unusual beauty, where the sea meets the lagoon and extensive pine forests. The Lagoon has unusual and great characteristics for the practice of sport fishing, sailing and windsurfing.
It is formed by two main lagoon bodies connected by a narrow, sinuous and shallow channel: the Lagoa Pequena, more interior and less deep and the Lagoa Grande, with maximum depths of about 15m.
